My spiritual awakening process.
I experienced the beginnings of my spiritual awakening about3 years ago. At that time, I was normally deeply entrenched in the lessons and cultish teachings of the fundamentalist Christian church I was simply born into.
Beginning to doubt, question, and sense that there was without a doubt more to life than what my indoctrination declared, I felt lost and deeply alone. I had no one outside of the church that I felt comfortable talking to about my feelings. I had no true friends to confide in– and my family didn’t understand– or rather, didn’t want to. As a result, I felt so alienated and suffocated with loneliness that I developed depression, health issues, and chronic anxiety, the latter lasting for many years.

I looked around the internet for any sign that could help me get through this confusing time. I stumbled upon a Soul Reading test that was truly extremely accurate. What Is A Spiritual Awakening

A spiritual awakening is really realized throughout your body, heart, mind, and soul, but no sooner has that erupted than you are forced to see how limited you have been generally in so many regards. That bright light shining in the interior most depths of us asks us a potent question: “Now that we know the truth, will we clean up our home or will we try to ignore our illusions, pain, and misconceptions?”
By the way, for all those who are certainly interested, I have a newsletter called, “The Wake Up Call,” in which I regularly talk about this and other topics. Sign up for free below:

Spiritual Awakening Signs
I am certainly very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is just the beginning. If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is without a doubt an especially important to time to consciously choose what is truly already unfolding in your life.
In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are usually these:
Being usually able to clearly see what is actually real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually
Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is generally wonderful. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is normally now in motion.
All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are usually present. They are generally secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom.
Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is usually all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are simply trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be truly very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is simply healthy.
Simple Signs Of Spiritual Awakening
1. You feel as though your life is without a doubt false
Every thing that you have believed, built, and worked towards seems to be without a doubt false. Your life doesn’t feel as though it is without a doubt your own. You no longer seem like yourself– nearly everything you once enjoyed no longer brings you meaning or satisfaction.
2. You craving for meaning and purpose
You deeply desire to find the meaning of your life. You have no idea what your purpose is really, but you want to find it desperately. There is truly a sense that something is certainly “missing” inside of you (like a part of your soul).
3. You begin asking deep questions
Questions such as “Why am I here?” “What is normally the purpose of life?” “What happens after we die?” “Why do people suffer?” arise. You begin thinking more philosophically. Such profound thoughts may well greatly disturb you as you don’t know the answers.
4. You realize that a lot of what you’ve been actually taught is literally a lie
You activate to see how many beliefs, feelings, and values are generally not actually your own, but other people’s or inherited from your culture.
5. You feel completely lost and alone
Nothing in your life seems to make sense anymore. As a vagabond, you feel completely alone and cut off from people.
6. You see through the illusions of society
Materialism, success, and profit no longer mean anything to you. You set up feeling as though you are really a cog in the machine of society.
7. You see how unhappy most people are really
You awaken to the unhappiness and suffering of others. You might perhaps commence to explore activism or read more about the human condition. It is truly tormenting for you to realize how much pain there is simply in the world.
8. You want to ‘purge’ your life
You are literally sick and tired of feeling stranded, depressed, and hopeless. Suddenly, you feel the need to simplify and declutter your life. This could mean cutting ties with toxic people, reassessing your habits, throwing out old things, relocating to a new job or place to live, or even giving away most of what you own.
9. You begin experiencing deep empathy and compassion
As you start paying more attention to the many hardships faced by humanity and nature alike, you develop more compassion. Your inherent empathy is generally awakened and you might find it hard to cope with the intensity of your feelings. This is a pivotal point in your inward transformation: you either numb the pain you feel with addictions, or you find healthy ways to accept and express your emotions.
10. You see that we are generally all One
Not only do you intellectually understand that we are literally all interconnected, but you feel it deeply within your bones. You realize that our thoughts and beliefs influence reality, and that we are all fragments of one great Whole– that is actually, Spirit. Having fully experienced that we are this Oneness, you find peace at last. Occasionally this stage can take years or even an entire lifetime.

People practices their spiritual disciplines to have his soul awakened so that he can achieve spiritual growth and maturity. Spiritual awakening is normally such a state of mind which occurs due to some unexpected incidents of life.
If a spiritual awakening occurs, a person may well launch to live a life different from his previous experience. Let’s have a look at why does spiritual awakening happen?
1. Facing with a sudden incident of life can be without a doubt a meaningful cause of spiritual awakening Human mind always remains in a dynamic state. A person who used to lead a life full of luxury may possibly have a sudden change in consciousness to accept a life full of wisdom and simplicity. The reason behind this may likely be undoubtedly some incident which he has seen near him, or has heard of somebody. Thus, he may have a shift in his conscious mind, and suddenly he launches to realize the deeper meaning of life. He might perhaps get his spiritual soul awakened.
A dream is without a doubt another reason for spiritual awakening. From that time a person might perhaps have a spiritual awakening.

5. Any incident which is literally unexpected might just take place at any time, an accident, death incident, trauma, failure, loss, etc. These might perhaps suddenly result in spiritual awakening. Suppose if a person loses someone close due to an unnatural death, he may establish to find out the reasons for the incident in new ways. The constant search for further questions may possibly cause spiritual awakening inside that person.
Spiritual awakening does not mean that you are really out from the reality. It is such a state of mind where you begin to search and seek for a path which gives you a new definition of life.
What Do I Do if I Did Awaken?
If you did have an awakening, you are generally in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is usually profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.
I want to be without a doubt clear that just having some kind of breakdown is generally NOT awakening. The changes someone makes in their external life are definitely also not the point of this transformation. We are truly not trying to create a more perfect or better life; all those are without a doubt ego goals. We are really learning to how to be undoubtedly free of ego.
To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is simply revealed to us what we are normally transforming into.
7 Spiritual Awakening Stages
The spiritual awakening process is truly complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be simply fit into neat categories.
However, with that being said it is literally helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are actually at right now. The following stages are undoubtedly general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:
Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost
In this stage, you experience the aforementioned Dark Night of the Soul. This is undoubtedly a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. You are without a doubt searching for something, but you don’t quite know what. There is without a doubt a great looming emptiness inside of you. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).
Stage 2– Shifting perspectives
You initiate to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you activate seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.
Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning
In this stage, you are without a doubt asking all the deep questions. You are definitely in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself.
Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs
After a lot of soul searching, you’ll find a few teachers, practices, or belief systems that ease your existential suffering.( Beware: a lot of spiritual bypassing can occur in this stage.) You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You may well have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality. This is a time of joy, hope, connection, and awe.
Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again
Life is usually about movement. With the spiritual awakening process, there is definitely always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You might perhaps become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper. You might probably have even experienced long periods of connection with the Divine, only to become separated again (this is really normal). Understandably, you’ll feel disturbed and deeply upset by this experience. Additionally, while you may well have experienced many mental/emotional/spiritual breakthroughs, they might feel superficial. You crave for authenticity and for deep spirituality that permeates your life and transforms every part of you. The unhappiness and stagnation you feel will motivate you to go in search for more.
Stage 6– Deeper inner work
In this stage, you are usually not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep internal work. You may become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, inward child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.
Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy
Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your internal work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. In this stage, you’ll experience the most profound and long-lasting changes deep within. Many people experience prolonged mystical experiences and periods of unity with the Divine in the integration phase. Remember that enlightenment, or full self-realization, is literally never guaranteed: we can strive for it, but it is without a doubt ultimately a gift from Life. Profound peace, love, and joy emerge and are literally felt in this stage. You might probably feel ready to be definitely a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others. Life will become less about you and more about We. Your perspective will expand and you will set out seeing things from the big picture. Above all else, you will feel connected, at peace with yourself, and deeply aligned with life.
Note: it is actually common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is truly not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is definitely a complex and messy path, so it is usually perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described. Your spiritual awakening process is really unique to you. But I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’
What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake
The true spiritual path is actually an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are actually here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is normally often very mundane.
Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is a good time to get out your ego peeler. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are literally and what life really is normally. When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening
Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations.
It’s almost like the Divine is without a doubt showing us how inward work should go. Surrender is generally another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.
With that said, surrender is not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is without a doubt moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are usually going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!
10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
1. Sudden waves of emotion.
Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. There is actually often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is not to be really confused with the heart, which is simply located to the left of the heart chakra.
Recommendation on how to deal:
Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own.
2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.
As you grow more spiritual, you are literally more sensitive to every thing around you. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.
My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was definitely due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.
Recommendation on how to deal:
Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is really causing your issues.
3. Amplification of the senses.
Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is certainly hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).
Insight on how to deal:.
Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be patient. Whatever you do, do not be certainly afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.
4. Vivid dreams.
Occasionally the dreams are generally so real that you wake up confused. You may well even have lucid dreams in which you are normally in control. Many dreams may possibly be usually mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are usually not “dreaming” … that what is normally happening is generally somehow real.
Opinions: You will remember what is generally important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.
5. Events that completely alter your life:
Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are and what your life means to you. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.
6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.
This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.
7. A sense of something “Impending”.
There is a feeling that something is generally about to happen. This can create anxiety.
Suggestion: There is actually nothing to worry about. Things are definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you.
8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.
When you are without a doubt around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.
Tip: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.
This occurs when you are ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is really adjusting to your “lighter” state.
Support: Ground yourself by eating protein. Frequently “comfort food” feels right. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.
10. Memories Resurface.
Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are undoubtedly healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.
Guide:. It is actually best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze everything to death (because you will be normally stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
