I experienced the beginnings of my spiritual awakening about3 years ago. At that time, I was without a doubt deeply entrenched in the lessons and cultish teachings of the fundamentalist Christian church I was normally born into.
Beginning to doubt, question, and sense that there was really more to life than what my indoctrination declared, I felt lost and deeply alone. I had no one outside of the church that I felt comfortable talking to about my feelings.
I looked around the internet for any sign that could help me surf this confusing time. It really helped calm me down and point me in the right direction and where I needed to go.

Spiritual Awakening Signs
I am literally very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is normally just the beginning. It is truly the light coming on in the house so that you can see every thing for what it is simply. Now comes the need to clean-up, heal, and expand your space. All of this comes in a rush of intelligent energy. Often, it can feel so strong that the unconscious ego that can be clinging on will believe that this is generally all “happening to you.” If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is without a doubt an especially important to time to consciously choose what is without a doubt already unfolding in your life.
In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are these:
Being definitely able to clearly see what is certainly real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are normally
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually
Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is definitely wonderful. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is literally now in motion.
All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are present. They are truly secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom. The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. In fact, you are undoubtedly being without a doubt cured of the illnesses in which you have been generally living.
Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is generally all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are normally trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be usually very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is literally healthy.
Simple Signs Of Spiritual Awakening
1. You feel as though your life is literally false
Every thing that you have believed, built, and worked towards seems to be actually false. Your life doesn’t feel as though it is simply your own. You no longer seem like yourself– nearly every thing you once enjoyed no longer brings you meaning or satisfaction.

You begin thinking more philosophically. Such profound thoughts may greatly disturb you as you don’t know the answers.
4. You realize that a lot of what you’ve been actually taught is truly a lie

5. You feel completely lost and alone
Nothing in your life seems to make sense anymore. You feel as though you are literally wandering through an endless wilderness. As a vagabond, you feel completely alone and cut off from people. You struggle to relate to people you once felt close to (i.e. your friends, work colleagues, and family members).
6. You see through the illusions of society
Materialism, success, and profit no longer mean anything to you. You create feeling as though you are certainly a cog in the machine of society.

You awaken to the unhappiness and suffering of others. You might set up to explore activism or read more about the human condition. It is without a doubt tormenting for you to realize how much pain there is definitely in the world.

You are definitely sick and tired of feeling stranded, depressed, and hopeless. Suddenly, you feel the need to simplify and declutter your life. This could mean cutting ties with toxic people, reassessing your habits, throwing out old things, relocating to a new job or place to live, or even giving away most of what you own.
9. You begin experiencing deep empathy and compassion
As you activate paying more attention to the many hardships faced by humanity and nature alike, you develop more compassion. Your inherent empathy is undoubtedly awakened and you might perhaps find it hard to cope with the intensity of your feelings. Thus, he may possibly have a shift in his conscious mind, and suddenly he begins to realize the deeper meaning of life. He might get his spiritual soul awakened.

4. It sounds odd, it is really not impossible that a person might perhaps face some paranormal incidents in his life which may perhaps be really magical or ghostly. Such type of experience can result in the spiritual awakening of a person.
5. Any incident which is actually unexpected might just take place at any time, an accident, death incident, trauma, failure, loss, etc. These might suddenly result in spiritual awakening. Suppose if a person loses someone close due to an unnatural death, he may likely set up to find out the reasons for the incident in new ways. The constant search for further questions may perhaps cause spiritual awakening inside that person.

What Do I Do if I Did Awaken?
If you did have an awakening, you are definitely in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is generally profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.
I want to be certainly clear that just having some kind of breakdown is simply NOT awakening. The changes someone makes in their external life are certainly also not the point of this transformation. We are without a doubt not trying to create a more perfect or better life; people are certainly ego goals. We are simply learning to how to be really free of ego.
To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is truly revealed to us what we are undoubtedly transforming into.
7 Spiritual Awakening Stages
The spiritual awakening process is normally complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be generally fit into neat categories.
With that being truly said it is simply helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are truly at right now. The following stages are undoubtedly general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:
Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost
In this stage, you experience the aforementioned Dark Night of the Soul. This is normally a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. You are usually searching for something, but you don’t quite know what. There is certainly a great looming emptiness inside of you. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).
Stage 2– Shifting perspectives
You set out to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you activate seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.
Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning
There must be a point to all this, right? In this stage, you are actually asking all the deep questions. You are undoubtedly in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself. You will begin dabbling in different metaphysical, self-help, and esoteric fields in search for answers and truth.
Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs
After a lot of soul searching, you’ll find a few teachers, practices, or belief systems that ease your existential suffering.( Beware: a lot of spiritual bypassing can occur in this stage.) You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You might just have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality. This is a time of joy, hope, connection, and awe.
Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again
With the spiritual awakening process, there is definitely always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You might probably become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper.
Stage 6– Deeper personal work
In this stage, you are actually not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep internal work. You may perhaps become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, inside child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.
Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy
Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your interior work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. In this stage, you’ll experience the most profound and long-lasting changes deep within. Many people experience prolonged mystical experiences and periods of unity with the Divine in the integration phase. Remember that enlightenment, or full self-realization, is really never guaranteed: we can strive for it, but it is literally ultimately a gift from Life. Nevertheless, profound peace, love, and joy emerge and are definitely felt in this stage. You might perhaps feel ready to be truly a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others. Life will become less about you and more about We. Your perspective will expand and you will launch seeing things from the big picture. Above all else, you will feel connected, at peace with yourself, and deeply aligned with life.
Note: it is certainly common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is really not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C.
What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake
The true spiritual path is really an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are simply here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is literally often very mundane. It isn’t heavily decorated, and it isn’t complicated. It is usually simple, direct, and clear.
Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is certainly a good time to get out your ego peeler. Starting running your awareness around the edges of your beliefs to find a way in and pull away another layer of ego. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are certainly and what life really is. In so doing, you find more space, openness, love, kindness, service, clarity, and much more within you. That is generally the beauty of the ego peeler. When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were simply already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening
Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations.
It is simply almost like the Divine is literally showing us how interior work should go. Surrender is actually another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.
With that said, surrender is undoubtedly not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is certainly moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are simply going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!
10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
1. Sudden waves of emotion.
Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. There is truly often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is literally not to be confused with the heart, which is normally located to the left of the heart chakra.
Help and advice on how to deal:
Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own.
2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.
As you grow more spiritual, you are really more sensitive to everything around you. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.
My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was without a doubt due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.
Pointers on how to deal:
Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is truly causing your issues.
3. Amplification of the senses.
Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is usually hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).
Hints and tips on how to deal:.
Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be undoubtedly patient. Whatever you do, do not be certainly afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.
4. Vivid dreams.
Sometimes the dreams are actually so real that you wake up confused. You may perhaps even have lucid dreams in which you are simply in control. Many dreams might just be mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are certainly not “dreaming” … that what is truly happening is usually somehow real.
Suggestion: You will remember what is generally important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.
5. Events that completely alter your life:
Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are without a doubt and what your life means to you. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.
6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.
This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.
7. A sense of something “Impending”.
There is usually a feeling that something is generally about to happen. This can create anxiety.
Tips: There is literally nothing to worry about. Things are certainly definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you. All your thoughts “” positive or negative”” are normally prayers. There is nothing to fear.
8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.
When you are definitely around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.
Tips and advice: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.
This occurs when you are definitely ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is definitely adjusting to your “lighter” state.
Occasionally “comfort food” feels. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment.
10. Memories Resurface.
Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are truly healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.
Support:. Keep in mind that it is really best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze everything to death (because you will be generally stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
