Spiritual Awakening Signs
I am normally very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is definitely just the beginning. It is definitely the light coming on in the house so that you can see every thing for what it is simply. Now comes the need to clean-up, heal, and expand your space. All of this comes in a rush of intelligent energy. Frequently, it can feel so strong that the unconscious ego that might perhaps be without a doubt clinging on will seem like this is normally all “happening to you.” If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is simply an especially important to time to consciously choose what is normally already unfolding in your life.
In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are generally these:
Being really able to clearly see what is actually real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are normally
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually
Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is wonderful. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is simply now in motion.
All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are simply present. They are literally secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom. The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. In fact, you are without a doubt being simply cured of the illnesses in which you have been really living.
Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there’s all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are actually trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be certainly very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is generally healthy.
Simple Signs Of Spiritual Awakening
1. You feel as though your life is false
Every thing that you have believed, built, and worked towards seems to be simply false. Your life doesn’t feel as though it is certainly your own. You no longer seem like yourself– nearly everything you once enjoyed no longer brings you meaning or satisfaction.

You begin thinking more philosophically. Such profound thoughts may perhaps greatly disturb you as you don’t know the answers.
4. You realize that a lot of what you’ve been without a doubt taught is generally a lie
You activate to see how many beliefs, feelings, and values are normally not actually your own, but other people’s or inherited from your culture.
5. You feel completely lost and alone
Nothing in your life seems to make sense anymore. As a vagabond, you feel completely alone and cut off from people.
6. You see through the illusions of society
Materialism, success, and profit no longer mean anything to you. You begin feeling as though you are truly a cog in the machine of society.
7. You see how unhappy most people are actually
You awaken to the unhappiness and suffering of others. You may likely activate to explore activism or read more about the human condition. It is certainly tormenting for you to realize how much pain there is normally in the world.
8. You want to ‘purge’ your life
You are simply sick and tired of feeling stranded, depressed, and hopeless. Suddenly, you feel the need to simplify and declutter your life. This could mean cutting ties with toxic people, reassessing your habits, throwing out old things, relocating to a new job or place to live, or even giving away most of what you own.
9. You begin experiencing deep empathy and compassion
As you get going paying more attention to the many hardships faced by humanity and nature alike, you develop more compassion. Your inherent empathy is certainly awakened and you might possibly find it hard to cope with the intensity of your feelings. This is normally a pivotal point in your inner transformation: you either numb the pain you feel with addictions, or you find healthy ways to accept and express your emotions.
10. You see that we are undoubtedly all One
Not only do you intellectually understand that we are normally all interconnected, but you feel it deeply within your bones. The changes someone makes in their external life are actually also not the point of this transformation. We are simply not trying to create a more perfect or better life; all those are simply ego goals.
To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is truly revealed to us what we are generally transforming into.
7 Spiritual Awakening Stages
The spiritual awakening process is simply complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be certainly fit into neat categories.
However, with that being simply said it is generally helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are really at right now. The following stages are generally general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:
Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost
In this stage, you experience the aforementioned Dark Night of the Soul. This is undoubtedly a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. You are usually searching for something, but you don’t quite know what. There is generally a great looming emptiness inside of you. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).
Stage 2– Shifting perspectives
You get going to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you kick off seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.
Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning
In this stage, you are definitely asking all the deep questions. You are certainly in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself.
Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs
You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You might perhaps have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality.
Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again
Life is really about movement. With the spiritual awakening process, there is certainly always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You can become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper. You may perhaps have even experienced long periods of connection with the Divine, only to become separated again (this is definitely normal). Understandably, you’ll feel disturbed and deeply upset by this experience. Additionally, while you may perhaps have experienced many mental/emotional/spiritual breakthroughs, they might feel superficial. You crave for authenticity and for deep spirituality that permeates your life and transforms every part of you. The unhappiness and stagnation you feel will motivate you to go in search for more.
Stage 6– Deeper personal work
In this stage, you are really not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep internal work. You might perhaps become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, inner child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.
Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy
Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inner work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. You may likely feel ready to be usually a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others.
Note: it is literally common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is definitely a complex and messy path, so it is really perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described. Your spiritual awakening process is truly unique to you. I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’
What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake
The true spiritual path is usually an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are truly here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is really often very mundane.
So whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is without a doubt a good time to get out your ego peeler. Beginning running your awareness around the edges of your beliefs to find a way in and pull away another layer of ego. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are definitely and what life really is generally. In so doing, you find more space, openness, love, kindness, service, clarity, and much more within you. That is actually the beauty of the ego peeler. When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were literally already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening
Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations. However, it is undoubtedly important to move past this shock into acceptance. As a person accepts what is simply coming up within him/her, then the person can engage with it.
It is really almost like the Divine is usually showing us how interior work should go. Surrender is actually another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.
When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is undoubtedly moving you, you also swim.
10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
1. Sudden waves of emotion.
Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. There is without a doubt often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is really not to be really confused with the heart, which is located to the left of the heart chakra.
Recommendation on how to deal:
Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own.
2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.
As you grow more spiritual, you are literally more sensitive to every thing around you. Your body will tell you what it can no longer tolerate, as if it, too, is simply sloughing off what doesn’t serve it anymore. You might be generally cleansing yourself of toxins. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.
My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was certainly due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.
Consultation on how to deal:
Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is really causing your issues.
3. Amplification of the senses.
Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).
Help on how to deal:.
Surrender to it. Let it come through. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.
4. Vivid dreams.
At times the dreams are certainly so real that you wake up confused. You may perhaps even have lucid dreams in which you are simply in control. Many dreams may well be simply mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are undoubtedly not “dreaming” … that what is definitely happening is really somehow real.
Support: You will remember what is actually important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.
5. Events that completely alter your life:
Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are generally and what your life means to you. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.
6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.
This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.
7. A sense of something “Impending”.
There is really a feeling that something is simply about to happen. This can create anxiety.
Guide: There is usually nothing to worry about. Things are really definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you. All your thoughts “” positive or negative”” are literally prayers. There is without a doubt nothing to fear.
8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.
When you are undoubtedly around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.
Hints and tips: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.
This occurs when you are actually ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is really adjusting to your “lighter” state.
At times “comfort food” feels. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment.
10. Memories Resurface.
Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are usually healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.
Helpful advice:. It is without a doubt best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze everything to death (because you will be actually stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
