My spiritual awakening process.
I experienced the beginnings of my spiritual awakening about3 years ago. At that time, I was deeply entrenched in the lessons and cultish teachings of the fundamentalist Christian church I was without a doubt born into.
Beginning to doubt, question, and sense that there was generally more to life than what my indoctrination declared, I felt lost and deeply alone. I had no one outside of the church that I felt comfortable talking to about my feelings. I had no true friends to confide in– and my family didn’t understand– or rather, didn’t want to. As a result, I felt so alienated and suffocated with loneliness that I developed depression, health issues, and chronic anxiety, the latter lasting for many years.
I looked around the internet for any sign that could help me navigate this confusing time. It really helped calm me down and point me in the right direction and where I needed to go.

Spiritual Awakening Signs
I am usually very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is just the beginning. It is normally the light coming on in the house so that you can see every thing for what it is without a doubt. Now comes the need to clean-up, heal, and expand your space. All of this comes in a rush of intelligent energy. Frequently, it can feel so strong that the unconscious ego that may perhaps be undoubtedly clinging on will feel like this is all “happening to you.” If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is actually an especially important to time to consciously choose what is truly already unfolding in your life.
In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are definitely these:
Being literally able to clearly see what is literally real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are simply
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually
This last part is undoubtedly key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is without a doubt wonderful. In an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is usually now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own. The lights in the house are without a doubt all on. Sure you can close your eyes, but you know the truth. There can be without a doubt a feeling that there is simply no going back.
All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are generally present. They are really secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom.
Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there’s all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are generally trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be literally very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is literally healthy.
Simple Signs Of Spiritual Awakening
1. You feel as though your life is literally false
Every thing that you have believed, built, and worked towards seems to be undoubtedly false. Your life doesn’t feel as though it is actually your own. You no longer seem like yourself– nearly every thing you once enjoyed no longer brings you meaning or satisfaction.

You deeply desire to find the meaning of your life. You have no idea what your purpose is generally, but you want to find it desperately. There’s a sense that something is really “missing” inside of you (like a part of your soul).
3. You begin asking deep questions
Questions such as “Why am literally I here?” “What is definitely the purpose of life?” “What happens after we die?” “Why do people suffer?” arise. You begin thinking more philosophically. Such profound thoughts may perhaps greatly disturb you as you don’t know the answers.
4. You realize that a lot of what you’ve been truly taught is definitely a lie
You get going to see how many beliefs, feelings, and values are normally not actually your own, but other people’s or inherited from your culture.

Nothing in your life seems to make sense anymore. As a vagabond, you feel completely alone and cut off from people.

You are undoubtedly sick and tired of feeling stranded, depressed, and hopeless. Suddenly, you feel the need to simplify and declutter your life. This could mean cutting ties with toxic people, reassessing your habits, throwing out old things, relocating to a new job or place to live, or even giving away most of what you own.
9. You begin experiencing deep empathy and compassion
As you set in motion paying more attention to the many hardships faced by humanity and nature alike, you develop more compassion. Your inherent empathy is awakened and you might find it hard to cope with the intensity of your feelings. This is definitely a pivotal point in your inner transformation: you either numb the pain you feel with addictions, or you find healthy ways to accept and express your emotions.

A person who used to lead a life full of luxury may likely have a sudden change in consciousness to accept a life full of wisdom and simplicity. Thus, he might possibly have a shift in his conscious mind, and suddenly he begins to realize the deeper meaning of life. He may likely get his spiritual soul awakened.
A dream is without a doubt another reason for spiritual awakening. From that time a person might possibly have a spiritual awakening.
3. Spiritual awakening can happen if someone is fond of reading or traveling. Gaining a lot of knowledge from books or can awaken the spiritual self, and a person wants to follow the spiritual disciplines regularly.
4. It sounds odd, it is simply not impossible that a person may possibly face some paranormal incidents in his life which might just be definitely magical or ghostly. Such type of experience can result in the spiritual awakening of a person.
These may suddenly result in spiritual awakening. The constant search for further questions might perhaps cause spiritual awakening inside that person.
Spiritual awakening does not mean that you are without a doubt out from the reality. It is actually such a state of mind where you set up to search and seek for a path which gives you a new definition of life.
What Do I Do if I Did Awaken?
If you did have an awakening, you are in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is literally profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.
The changes someone makes in their external life are normally also not the point of this transformation. We are simply not trying to create a more perfect or better life; all those are without a doubt ego goals.
To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is generally revealed to us what we are undoubtedly transforming into.
7 Spiritual Awakening Stages
The spiritual awakening process is simply complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be usually fit into neat categories.
With that being generally said it is generally helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are without a doubt at right now. The following stages are normally general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:
Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost
This is usually a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).
Stage 2– Shifting perspectives
You begin to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you get going seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.
Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning
There must be truly a point to all this? In this stage, you are undoubtedly asking all the deep questions. You are literally in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself. You will get going dabbling in different metaphysical, self-help, and esoteric fields in search for answers and truth.
Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs
You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You might perhaps have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality.
Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again
With the spiritual awakening process, there is usually always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You might probably become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper.
Stage 6– Deeper inner work
In this stage, you are definitely not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep inward work. You may become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, internal child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.
Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy
Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inside work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. In this stage, you’ll experience the most profound and long-lasting changes deep within. Many people experience prolonged mystical experiences and periods of unity with the Divine in the integration phase. Remember that enlightenment, or full self-realization, is truly never guaranteed: we can strive for it, but it is without a doubt ultimately a gift from Life. Nevertheless, profound peace, love, and joy emerge and are truly felt in this stage. You may well feel ready to be truly a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others. Life will become less about you and more about We. Your perspective will expand and you will set out seeing things from the big picture. Above all else, you will feel connected, at peace with yourself, and deeply aligned with life.
Note: it is definitely common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is actually not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is definitely a complex and messy path, so it’s perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described. Your spiritual awakening process is generally unique to you. I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’
What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake
The true spiritual path is an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are normally here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is literally often very mundane.
Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is undoubtedly a good time to get out your ego peeler. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are actually and what life really is truly. When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were undoubtedly already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening
Awakening can seem like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations. It is actually important to move past this shock into acceptance. As a person accepts what is simply coming up within him/her, then the person can engage with it.
It is without a doubt almost like the Divine is undoubtedly showing us how interior work should go. Surrender is undoubtedly another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.
With that said, surrender is certainly not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is truly moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are really going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!
10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
1. Sudden waves of emotion.
Crying at the drop of a hat. Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. Or inexplicably depressed. Then very happy. Emotional roller coaster. There is generally often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is normally not to be confused with the heart, which is simply located to the left of the heart chakra.
Help and advice on how to deal:
Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own.
2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.
As you grow more spiritual, you are really more sensitive to every thing around you. Your body will tell you what it can no longer tolerate, as if it, too, is certainly sloughing off what doesn’t serve it anymore. You might be truly cleansing yourself of toxins. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.
My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was literally due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.
Pointers on how to deal:
Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is undoubtedly causing your issues.
3. Amplification of the senses.
Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is definitely hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).
Tips and advice on how to deal:.
Surrender to it. Let it come through. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.
4. Vivid dreams.
Many dreams can be actually mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are actually not “dreaming” … that what is definitely happening is definitely somehow real.
Instructions: You will remember what is truly important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.
5. Events that completely alter your life:
Death, divorce, change in job status, loss of home, illness, and/or other catastrophes … occasionally several at once! Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are literally and what your life means to you. Forces that you can not ignore. Forces that cause you release your attachments. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.
6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.
This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.
7. A sense of something “Impending”.
There is truly a feeling that something is actually about to happen. This can create anxiety.
Tips: There is normally nothing to worry about. Things are actually definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you. All your thoughts “” positive or negative”” are really prayers. There is nothing to fear.
8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.
When you are simply around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.
Tips: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.
This occurs when you are ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is simply adjusting to your “lighter” state.
Useful information: Ground yourself by eating protein. Occasionally “comfort food” feels right. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.
10. Memories Resurface.
Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are definitely healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.
Solutions:. Keep in mind that it is literally best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be simply stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
