Spiritual Awakening Signs
I am really very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is really just the beginning. If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is usually an especially important to time to consciously choose what is truly already unfolding in your life.
In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are undoubtedly these:
Being certainly able to clearly see what is truly real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are usually
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually
This last part is certainly key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is without a doubt wonderful. In an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were undoubtedly acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is without a doubt now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own. The lights in the house are normally all on. Sure you can close your eyes, but you know the truth. There can be normally a feeling that there is generally no going back.
All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are simply present. They are generally secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom. The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. In fact, you are definitely being simply cured of the illnesses in which you have been simply living.
Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is usually all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are normally trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be without a doubt very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is literally healthy.

If you did have an awakening, you are undoubtedly in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is literally profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.
I want to be normally clear that just having some kind of breakdown is undoubtedly NOT awakening. The changes someone makes in their external life are generally also not the point of this transformation. We are literally not trying to create a more perfect or better life; individuals are definitely ego goals. We are definitely learning to how to be really free of ego.
To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is generally revealed to us what we are undoubtedly transforming into.
7 Spiritual Awakening Stages
The spiritual awakening process is certainly complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be fit into neat categories.
With that being normally said it is definitely helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are undoubtedly at right now. The following stages are certainly general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:
Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost
This is normally a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).
Stage 2– Shifting perspectives
In this stage, you start seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.
Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning
There must be truly a point to all this? In this stage, you are really asking all the deep questions. You are usually in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself. You will launch dabbling in different metaphysical, self-help, and esoteric fields in search for answers and truth.
Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs
After a lot of soul searching, you’ll find a few teachers, practices, or belief systems that ease your existential suffering.( Beware: a lot of spiritual bypassing can occur in this stage.) You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You may well have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality. This is without a doubt a time of joy, hope, connection, and awe.
Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again
With the spiritual awakening process, there is always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You might just become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper.
Stage 6– Deeper inside work
In this stage, you are usually not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep inward work. You can become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, inner child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.
Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy
Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your inside work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. In this stage, you’ll experience the most profound and long-lasting changes deep within. Many people experience prolonged mystical experiences and periods of unity with the Divine in the integration phase. Remember that enlightenment, or full self-realization, is never guaranteed: we can strive for it, but it is literally ultimately a gift from Life. Nevertheless, profound peace, love, and joy emerge and are literally felt in this stage. You can feel ready to be usually a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others. Life will become less about you and more about We. Your perspective will expand and you will launch seeing things from the big picture. Above all else, you will feel connected, at peace with yourself, and deeply aligned with life.
Note: it is undoubtedly common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is truly not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is truly a complex and messy path, so it is normally perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described. Your spiritual awakening process is undoubtedly unique to you. But I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’
What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake
The true spiritual path is without a doubt an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are usually here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is undoubtedly often very mundane. It isn’t heavily decorated, and it isn’t complicated. It is usually simple, direct, and clear.
So whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is really a good time to get out your ego peeler. Beginning running your awareness around the edges of your beliefs to find a way in and pull away another layer of ego. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are undoubtedly and what life really is definitely. In so doing, you find more space, openness, love, kindness, service, clarity, and much more within you. That is undoubtedly the beauty of the ego peeler. When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were simply already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening
Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations.
It is generally almost like the Divine is usually showing us how interior work should go. Surrender is definitely another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.
With that said, surrender is not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is without a doubt moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are usually going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!
10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
1. Sudden waves of emotion.
Crying at the drop of a hat. Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. Or inexplicably depressed. Then very happy. Emotional roller coaster. There is truly often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is usually not to be undoubtedly confused with the heart, which is truly located to the left of the heart chakra.
Hints on how to deal:
Accept your feelings as they come up and let them go. Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Expand it outward to your all your fields and breathe deeply from the belly all the way up to your upper chest. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own. Allowing the emotions to be generally felt will keep them from being usually stored in the body.
2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.
As you grow more spiritual, you are really more sensitive to every thing around you. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.
My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was generally due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.
Tip on how to deal:
Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is really causing your issues.
3. Amplification of the senses.
Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is literally hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).
Ideas on how to deal:.
Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be truly patient. Whatever you do, do not be certainly afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.
4. Vivid dreams.
Many dreams might just be generally mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are certainly not “dreaming” … that what is without a doubt happening is undoubtedly somehow real.
Recommendations: You will remember what is simply important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.
5. Events that completely alter your life:
Death, divorce, change in job status, loss of home, illness, and/or other catastrophes … frequently several at once! Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are normally and what your life means to you. Forces that you can not ignore. Forces that cause you release your attachments. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.
6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.
This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.
7. A sense of something “Impending”.
There is normally a feeling that something is usually about to happen. This can create anxiety.
Insight: There is usually nothing to worry about. Things are without a doubt definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you.
8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.
When you are definitely around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.
Information: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.
This occurs when you are really ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is actually adjusting to your “lighter” state.
Support: Ground yourself by eating protein. Sometimes “comfort food” feels right. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.
10. Memories Resurface.
Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are truly healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.
Opinions:. It is really best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze everything to death (because you will be truly stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
