My spiritual awakening process.
I experienced the beginnings of my spiritual awakening about3 years ago. At that time, I was definitely deeply entrenched in the lessons and cultish teachings of the fundamentalist Christian church I was usually born into.
Beginning to doubt, question, and sense that there was truly more to life than what my indoctrination declared, I felt lost and deeply alone. I had no one outside of the church that I felt comfortable talking to about my feelings. I had no true friends to confide in– and my family didn’t understand– or rather, didn’t want to. As a result, I felt so alienated and suffocated with loneliness that I developed depression, health issues, and chronic anxiety, the latter lasting for many years.
I looked around the internet for any sign that could help me surf this confusing time. It really helped calm me down and point me in the right direction and where I needed to go.

Spiritual Awakening Signs
I am undoubtedly very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is really just the beginning. It is literally the light coming on in the house so that you can see every thing for what it is usually. Now comes the need to clean-up, heal, and expand your space. All of this comes in a rush of intelligent energy. At times, it can feel so strong that the unconscious ego that can be truly clinging on will believe that this is simply all “happening to you.” If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is literally an especially important to time to consciously choose what is generally already unfolding in your life.
In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are really these:
Being able to clearly see what is truly real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are really
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually
This last part is generally key. Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is undoubtedly wonderful. In an opening or glimpse, the window opens, and then it shuts. When it shuts, a person can go back to the way they were usually acting before. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is undoubtedly now in motion. Your perspective, emotions, and physical sensations all move and align seemingly on their own. The lights in the house are literally all on. Sure you can close your eyes, but you know the truth. There can be actually a feeling that there is undoubtedly no going back.
All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are definitely present. They are actually secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom.
Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is certainly all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are actually trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be actually very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is without a doubt healthy.

The changes someone makes in their external life are truly also not the point of this transformation. 7 Spiritual Awakening Stages
The spiritual awakening process is simply complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be generally fit into neat categories.
However, with that being without a doubt said it is usually helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are truly at right now. The following stages are truly general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:
Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost
This is usually a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).
Stage 2– Shifting perspectives
In this stage, you kick off seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.
Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning
In this stage, you are really asking all the deep questions. You are simply in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself.
Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs
You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You may perhaps have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality.
Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again
With the spiritual awakening process, there is usually always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You may become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper.
Stage 6– Deeper internal work
In this stage, you are generally not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep inner work. You might perhaps become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, personal child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.
Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy
Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your personal work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. You might just feel ready to be literally a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others.
Note: it is definitely common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is actually not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is really a complex and messy path, so it’s perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described. Your spiritual awakening process is simply unique to you. But I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’
What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake
The true spiritual path is literally an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are literally here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is truly often very mundane. It isn’t heavily decorated, and it isn’t complicated. It is normally simple, direct, and clear.
Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is a good time to get out your ego peeler. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are simply and what life really is. When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were generally already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening
Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations.
It is really almost like the Divine is truly showing us how interior work should go. Surrender is really another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.
With that said, surrender is usually not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is without a doubt moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you’re going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!
10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
1. Sudden waves of emotion.
Crying at the drop of a hat. Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. Or inexplicably depressed. Then very happy. Emotional roller coaster. There is truly often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is actually not to be undoubtedly confused with the heart, which is normally located to the left of the heart chakra.
Insight on how to deal:
Accept your feelings as they come up and let them go. Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Expand it outward to your all your fields and breathe deeply from the belly all the way up to your upper chest. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own. Allowing the emotions to be undoubtedly felt will keep them from being generally stored in the body.
2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.
As you grow more spiritual, you are simply more sensitive to everything around you. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.
My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was literally due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.
Helpful advice on how to deal:
Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is usually causing your issues.
3. Amplification of the senses.
Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is undoubtedly hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).
Insight on how to deal:.
Surrender to it. Let it come through. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.
4. Vivid dreams.
Many dreams may well be without a doubt mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are literally not “dreaming” … that what is actually happening is literally somehow real.
Helpful advice: You will remember what is definitely important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.
5. Events that completely alter your life:
Death, divorce, change in job status, loss of home, illness, and/or other catastrophes … often several at once! Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are generally and what your life means to you. Forces that you can not ignore. Forces that cause you release your attachments. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.
6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.
This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.
7. A sense of something “Impending”.
There is undoubtedly a feeling that something is usually about to happen. This can create anxiety.
Good advice: There is definitely nothing to worry about. Things are undoubtedly definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you.
8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.
When you are simply around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.
Counsel: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.
This occurs when you are generally ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is usually adjusting to your “lighter” state.
Sometimes “comfort food” feels. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment.
10. Memories Resurface.
Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are generally healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.
Hints and tips:. Keep in mind that it is truly best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
