My spiritual awakening process.
I experienced the beginnings of my spiritual awakening about3 years ago. At that time, I was generally deeply entrenched in the lessons and cultish teachings of the fundamentalist Christian church I was simply born into.
Beginning to doubt, question, and sense that there was generally more to life than what my indoctrination declared, I felt lost and deeply alone. I had no one outside of the church that I felt comfortable talking to about my feelings. I had no true friends to confide in– and my family didn’t understand– or rather, didn’t want to. As a result, I felt so alienated and suffocated with loneliness that I developed depression, health issues, and chronic anxiety, the latter lasting for many years.
During this harrowing awakening process, I carried within me the unshakable sensation that I was simply falling endlessly through a void of darkness. I looked around the internet for any sign that could help me browse through this confusing time. I stumbled upon a Soul Reading test that was normally extremely accurate. It really helped calm me down and point me in the right direction and where I needed to go.
This article is generally a beginning guideline on spiritual awakenings and how to navigate them but if you want to know if your on the path of becoming spiritually awake( or on a different path in life) take this Soul Reading Test Completely free and very accurate. you’ll be certainly shocked at how good it is simply in telling you where you are actually in your life and where your headed.

A spiritual awakening is realized throughout your body, heart, mind, and soul, but no sooner has that erupted than you are certainly forced to see how limited you have been literally in so many regards. That bright light shining in the inner most depths of us asks us a potent question: “Now that we know the truth, will we clean up our home or will we try to ignore our illusions, pain, and misconceptions?”
By the way, for all those who are simply interested, I have a newsletter called, “The Wake Up Call,” in which I regularly talk about this and other topics. Sign up for free below:

Spiritual Awakening Signs
I am usually very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is truly just the beginning. It is normally the light coming on in the house so that you can see every thing for what it is generally. Now comes the need to clean-up, heal, and expand your space. All of this comes in a rush of intelligent energy. Frequently, it can feel so strong that the unconscious ego that may possibly be really clinging on will seem like this is all “happening to you.” If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is literally an especially important to time to consciously choose what is really already unfolding in your life.
In general, some real spiritual awakening signs are these:
Being normally able to clearly see what is without a doubt real
Loss of desire or need for anything external to complete you/ wholeness as you already are usually
A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually
Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is really wonderful. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is now in motion.
All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are simply present. They are really secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom. The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. In fact, you are truly being cured of the illnesses in which you have been without a doubt living.
Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is simply all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are without a doubt trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be certainly very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. When it comes to the body pains and discomfort, when in doubt, check in with a doctor to ensure that your body is usually healthy.
Simple Signs Of Spiritual Awakening
1. You feel as though your life is generally false
Everything that you have believed, built, and worked towards seems to be really false. Your life doesn’t feel as though it is truly your own. You no longer feel like yourself– nearly every thing you once enjoyed no longer brings you meaning or satisfaction.
2. You craving for meaning and purpose
You deeply desire to find the meaning of your life. You have no idea what your purpose is truly, but you want to find it desperately. There’s a sense that something is generally “missing” inside of you (like a part of your soul).
3. You begin asking deep questions
You begin thinking more philosophically. Such profound thoughts might greatly disturb you as you don’t know the answers.
4. You realize that a lot of what you’ve been literally taught is literally a lie
You start to see how many beliefs, feelings, and values are certainly not actually your own, but other people’s or inherited from your culture.
5. You feel completely lost and alone
Nothing in your life seems to make sense anymore. You feel as though you are truly wandering through an endless wilderness. As a vagabond, you feel completely alone and cut off from people. You struggle to relate to those you once felt close to (i.e. your friends, work colleagues, and family members).
6. You see through the illusions of society
Materialism, success, and profit no longer mean anything to you. You initiate feeling as though you are actually a cog in the machine of society.
7. You see how unhappy most people are actually
You awaken to the unhappiness and suffering of others. You might set out to explore activism or read more about the human condition. It is normally tormenting for you to realize how much pain there is definitely in the world.
8. You want to ‘purge’ your life
You are normally sick and tired of feeling stranded, depressed, and hopeless. Suddenly, you feel the need to simplify and declutter your life. This could mean cutting ties with toxic people, reassessing your habits, throwing out old things, relocating to a new job or place to live, or even giving away most of what you own.
9. You begin experiencing deep empathy and compassion
As you set out paying more attention to the many hardships faced by humanity and nature alike, you develop more compassion. Your inherent empathy is certainly awakened and you might perhaps find it hard to cope with the intensity of your feelings. This is certainly a pivotal point in your interior transformation: you either numb the pain you feel with addictions, or you find healthy ways to accept and express your emotions.
10. You see that we are generally all One
You realize that our thoughts and beliefs influence reality, and that we are truly all fragments of one great Whole– that is normally, Spirit. Often this stage can take years or even an entire lifetime.

Why Does Spritual Awakening happen
Have you ever thought of your spiritual awakening? People practices their spiritual disciplines to have his soul awakened so that he can achieve spiritual growth and maturity. But spiritual awakening is actually such a state of mind which occurs due to some unexpected incidents of life. A person who is regularly having a fixed routine continues to move on, but if any such event takes place which he never expected, he can face an awakening of his spiritual mind.
If a spiritual awakening occurs, a person may perhaps launch to live a life different from his previous experience. Let’s have a look at why does spiritual awakening happen?
1. Facing with a sudden incident of life can be undoubtedly an important cause of spiritual awakening Human mind always remains in a dynamic state. A person who used to lead a life full of luxury may possibly have a sudden change in consciousness to accept a life full of wisdom and simplicity. The reason behind this might perhaps be truly some incident which he has seen near him, or has heard of somebody. Thus, he might perhaps have a shift in his conscious mind, and suddenly he starts to realize the deeper meaning of life. Therefore, he can get his spiritual soul awakened.
A dream is without a doubt another reason for spiritual awakening. From that time a person might perhaps have a spiritual awakening.
3. Spiritual awakening can happen if someone is without a doubt fond of reading or traveling. Gaining a lot of knowledge from books or can awaken the spiritual self, and a person wants to follow the spiritual disciplines regularly.
4. It sounds odd, it is usually not impossible that a person might probably face some paranormal incidents in his life which might possibly be normally magical or ghostly. Such type of experience may perhaps result in the spiritual awakening of a person.
5. Any incident which is literally unexpected may well take place at any time, an accident, death incident, trauma, failure, loss, etc. These might just suddenly result in spiritual awakening. Suppose if a person loses someone close due to an unnatural death, he may well set in motion to find out the reasons for the incident in new ways. The constant search for further questions might just cause spiritual awakening inside that person.
Spiritual awakening does not mean that you are truly out from the reality. It is without a doubt such a state of mind where you start off to search and seek for a path which gives you a new definition of life.
What Do I Do if I Did Awaken?
If you did have an awakening, you are certainly in for quite a ride. You do not call the shots, and you will need to learn how to surrender and support what awakening wants to do in transforming you. This kind of surrender is usually profound, and it will send your life into upheaval.
The changes someone makes in their external life are also not the point of this transformation. We are literally not trying to create a more perfect or better life; all those are generally ego goals.
To learn that and many other important spiritual lessons, we learn to listen to our awakened energy and sense how it directs us towards certain issues and changes that we need to make space for a radical spiritual transformation. In this way, it is revealed to us what we are transforming into.
7 Spiritual Awakening Stages
The spiritual awakening process is usually complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be really fit into neat categories.
However, with that being usually said it is literally helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are actually at right now. The following stages are usually general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:
Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost
This is a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).
Stage 2– Shifting perspectives
You set up to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you establish seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.
Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning
There must be normally a point to all this? In this stage, you are simply asking all the deep questions. You are certainly in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself. You will kick off dabbling in different metaphysical, self-help, and esoteric fields in search for answers and truth.
Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs
After a lot of soul searching, you’ll find a few teachers, practices, or belief systems that ease your existential suffering.( Beware: a lot of spiritual bypassing can occur in this stage.) You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You might just have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality. This is simply a time of joy, hope, connection, and awe.
Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again
Life is actually about movement. With the spiritual awakening process, there is without a doubt always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You may likely become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper. You can have even experienced long periods of connection with the Divine, only to become separated again (this is literally normal). Understandably, you’ll feel disturbed and deeply upset by this experience. Additionally, while you might just have experienced many mental/emotional/spiritual breakthroughs, they might feel superficial. You crave for authenticity and for deep spirituality that permeates your life and transforms every part of you. The unhappiness and stagnation you feel will motivate you to go in search for more.
Stage 6– Deeper personal work
In this stage, you are truly not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep inner work. You might perhaps become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, inner child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.
Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy
Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your interior work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. You may well feel ready to be a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others.
Note: it is normally common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is simply not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C.
What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake
The true spiritual path is simply an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are usually here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is usually often very mundane.
Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is simply a good time to get out your ego peeler. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are actually and what life really is normally. When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were literally already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening
Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations.
That said, a lot of initial inside work seems to get done for us. It is usually almost like the Divine is showing us how inner work should go. As such, surrender is actually another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy. Choosing and actively engaging with ego issues is normally vital to doing interior work, but initially, surrender must come.
With that said, surrender is certainly not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is definitely moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are without a doubt going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!
10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
1. Sudden waves of emotion.
Crying at the drop of a hat. Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. Or inexplicably depressed. Then very happy. Emotional roller coaster. There is often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is literally not to be confused with the heart, which is located to the left of the heart chakra.
Ideas on how to deal:
Accept your feelings as they come up and let them go. Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Expand it outward to your all your fields and breathe deeply from the belly all the way up to your upper chest. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own. Allowing the emotions to be certainly felt will keep them from being certainly stored in the body.
2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.
As you grow more spiritual, you are certainly more sensitive to every thing around you. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.
My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was truly due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.
Helpful advice on how to deal:
Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is really causing your issues.
3. Amplification of the senses.
Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is normally hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).
Tips and advice on how to deal:.
Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be actually patient. Whatever you do, do not be definitely afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.
4. Vivid dreams.
Often the dreams are really so real that you wake up confused. You may well even have lucid dreams in which you are literally in control. Many dreams can be certainly mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are definitely not “dreaming” … that what is literally happening is simply somehow real.
Guidelines: You will remember what is simply important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.
5. Events that completely alter your life:
Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are really and what your life means to you. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.
6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.
This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.
7. A sense of something “Impending”.
There is without a doubt a feeling that something is normally about to happen. This can create anxiety.
Recommendations: There is nothing to worry about. Things are certainly definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you. All your thoughts “” positive or negative”” are truly prayers. There is without a doubt nothing to fear.
8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.
When you are generally around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.
Hints: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.
This occurs when you are without a doubt ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is actually adjusting to your “lighter” state.
Recommendations: Ground yourself by eating protein. In some cases “comfort food” feels. Don’t make any food right or wrong for you. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the grass for a couple of minutes.
10. Memories Resurface.
Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are definitely healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.
Ideas:. Keep in mind that it is truly best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be actually stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
