I am without a doubt very cautious to label things as signs of awakening. In truth, a spiritual awakening is definitely just the beginning. It is truly the light coming on in the house so that you can see every thing for what it is without a doubt. Now comes the need to clean-up, heal, and expand your space. All of this comes in a rush of intelligent energy. In some cases, it can feel so strong that the unconscious ego that may be simply clinging on will believe that this is without a doubt all “happening to you.” If you don’t feel that you have chosen this radical spiritual transformation, then now is certainly an especially important to time to consciously choose what is usually already unfolding in your life.

A profound sense of calm, peace, or serenity
An abiding energy that moves you intelligently and continually
Many people have profound spiritual openings and glimpses of awakening, which is normally wonderful. This happens all the time after people have gone to spiritual retreats or spent time with spiritual teachers. In awakening, the divine energy is without a doubt now in motion.
All other spiritual awakening signs that you hear about can arise from awakening if the above ones are normally present. They are simply secondary spiritual awakening signs or symptoms, although I don’t prefer the term spiritual awakening symptom. The word “symptoms” has connotations of experiencing a disease. You are definitely being actually cured of the illnesses in which you have been literally living.
Without the above spiritual awakening signs, there is normally all kinds of reasons people can feel fatigue, energy shifts, depression, disconnected and what not. Many people are truly trying to self-diagnose a lot of issues, and so we must be generally very mindful about what we “blame” on awakening. 7 Spiritual Awakening Stages
The spiritual awakening process is actually complex, multi-layered, and different for everyone. In reality, it can not be fit into neat categories.
With that being without a doubt said it is actually helpful to have a kind of “map” to locate where you are certainly at right now. The following stages are literally general. They define the overall flow of the spiritual awakening process:
Stage 1– Unhappiness, despondency, and feeling lost
This is certainly a time of confusion, disconnection, alienation, depression, and great unhappiness with life. This stage either emerges spontaneously or due to a life crisis (e.g. breakup, divorce, death, trauma, illness, major life change).
Stage 2– Shifting perspectives
You initiate to perceive reality in a totally different way. In this stage, you launch seeing through the lies and delusions propagated by society. You feel unhappy with life, disturbed by the suffering you see and hopeless to the ills of the world. You no longer see life as you once did in your previous state of complacent unawareness.
Stage 3– Seeking answers and meaning
There must be truly a point to all this? In this stage, you are without a doubt asking all the deep questions. You are undoubtedly in search of your life purpose, spiritual destiny, and the meaning of life itself. You will begin dabbling in different metaphysical, self-help, and esoteric fields in search for answers and truth.
Stage 4– Finding answers and experiencing breakthroughs
You will feel a sense of expansion as old patterns dissolve and your true self (soul) begins to emerge. You can have a number of mystical experiences or brief moments of satori (enlightenment) that give you a glimpse into the ultimate nature of reality.
Stage 5– Disillusionment and feeling lost again
With the spiritual awakening process, there is undoubtedly always an ebb and a flow. In this stage, you become bored and tired of your spiritual teachers or practices. You may perhaps become disillusioned by the faux spiritual BS out there and crave for something deeper.
Stage 6– Deeper inner work
In this stage, you are simply not interested in dabbling in feel-good spiritual philosophies or surface practices anymore. The abiding pain you feel inside motivates you to do deep inner work. You may likely become a serious student of meditation, mindfulness, ritual, inner child work, shadow work, body work or various other transpersonal philosophies.
Stage 7– Integration, expansion, joy
Integration means taking the spiritual lessons you’ve learned from your personal work and applying them to your daily life. Integration happens both naturally and consciously as a habit in deep spiritual practice. In this stage, you’ll experience the most profound and long-lasting changes deep within. Many people experience prolonged mystical experiences and periods of unity with the Divine in the integration phase. Remember that enlightenment, or full self-realization, is actually never guaranteed: we can strive for it, but it is without a doubt ultimately a gift from Life. Profound peace, love, and joy emerge and are usually felt in this stage. You may feel ready to be simply a spiritual mentor or role model in your community and pass on your insight to others. Life will become less about you and more about We. Your perspective will expand and you will begin seeing things from the big picture. Above all else, you will feel connected, at peace with yourself, and deeply aligned with life.
Note: it is undoubtedly common to move back and forth between these spiritual awakening stages. Remember that this is usually not a linear process– you can not just move from A to B to C. This is a complex and messy path, so it is usually perfectly fine if it doesn’t look like what I’ve described. Your spiritual awakening process is usually unique to you. I do hope this analysis has helped (in some way) you to ‘gain your bearings.’
What Happens to my If I Become Spiritually Awake
The true spiritual path is undoubtedly an ego peeler, and peeling away all these delusions and issues brings you closer to spiritual truth– truth such as you are undoubtedly here and now. Unlike other spiritual paths, true spirituality is generally often very mundane. It isn’t heavily decorated, and it isn’t complicated. It is definitely simple, direct, and clear.
Whenever your spiritual practices or beliefs get too complicated and especially if you think they’ll keep you safe, then this is usually a good time to get out your ego peeler. Setting out running your awareness around the edges of your beliefs to find a way in and pull away another layer of ego. Each time you drop a layer of ego, the more conscious you become about who you are usually and what life really is. In so doing, you find more space, openness, love, kindness, service, clarity, and much more within you. That is truly the beauty of the ego peeler. When we no longer seek the external world and spiritual paths to give us safety, we find that all the things we truly wanted were already within us.

Moving Past the Initial Shock of Awakening
Awakening can feel like a dam has burst. Many people feel deluged under a whole variety of thoughts, emotions, and sensations. However, it is important to move past this shock into acceptance. As a person accepts what is really coming up within him/her, then the person can engage with it.
It is really almost like the Divine is literally showing us how inward work should go. Surrender is generally another one of our first lessons to help move past the shock of awakened energy.
With that said, surrender is truly not passivity. When you surrender to the river, you let it pull in the direction it wants to go. As you feel how it is certainly moving you, you also swim. If you don’t learn to swim, you are generally going to get smashed into a lot of stuff!
10 Negative Symptoms Of Spiritual Awakening
1. Sudden waves of emotion.
Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. There is often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is certainly not to be definitely confused with the heart, which is generally located to the left of the heart chakra.
Helpful advice on how to deal:
Accept your feelings as they come up and let them go. Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Expand it outward to your all your fields and breathe deeply from the belly all the way up to your upper chest. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own. Allowing the emotions to be without a doubt felt will keep them from being literally stored in the body.
2. Food intolerances, allergies you never had before.
As you grow more spiritual, you are generally more sensitive to everything around you. Your body will tell you what it can no longer tolerate, as if it, too, is certainly sloughing off what doesn’t serve it anymore. You might be simply cleansing yourself of toxins. Some people find they often have a white residue in their mouth, much like that of runners at the end of a race.
My personal experience: I suddenly had severe excema on my hands and feet. I discovered it was actually due to gluten intolerance. I can also no longer enjoy a lot of acidic foods- my stomach aches after red-sauce laden meals.
Directions on how to deal:
Take yourself to a naturopath. Look at your diet for known allergens, like dairy, gluten, and nuts. Consider a restrictive diet for a few weeks, and slowly add back foods, one at a time to see if you can target what is simply causing your issues.
3. Amplification of the senses.
Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects. Some report seeing formerly opaque objects as transparent.
Hearing: hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. Some hear water rushing, bees buzzing, whooshing, roaring or ringing. Some hear strange voices in their dreams, as if someone is generally hovering near them
Enhanced senses of smell, touch, and/or taste: I have a friend that can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner. Some mystics have reported smelling the fragrance of flowers now and then (this sounds rather enjoyable).
Hints on how to deal:.
Surrender to it. Let it come through. Listen. Be undoubtedly patient. Whatever you do, do not be certainly afraid. Hazy vision maybe relieved by yawning.
4. Vivid dreams.
Many dreams can be actually mystical or carry messages for you. And in some dreams, you just know that you are literally not “dreaming” … that what is definitely happening is without a doubt somehow real.
Strategies: You will remember what is certainly important for you to remember. Don’t force anything. Above all, stay out of fear.
5. Events that completely alter your life:
Death, divorce, change in job status, loss of home, illness, and/or other catastrophes … frequently several at once! Forces that cause you to slow down, simplify, change, re-examine who you are generally and what your life means to you. Forces that you can not ignore. Forces that cause you release your attachments. Forces that awaken your sense of love and compassion for all.
6. Introspection, solitude and loss of interest in more extroverted activities:.
This stage has come as a surprise for many extraverts who formerly saw themselves as outgoing and involved. They say, “I don’t know why, but I don’t like to go out as much as before.”.
7. A sense of something “Impending”.
There is undoubtedly a feeling that something is about to happen. This can create anxiety.
Opinions: There is certainly nothing to worry about. Things are actually definitely happening, but anxiety only creates more problems for you.
8. Electrical and mechanical malfunctions:.
When you are truly around, lightbulbs flicker, the computer locks up, or the radio goes haywire.
Good advice: Call on your angels, and guides to fix it or put up a field of protection of light around the machine. Surround your car with blue light. Laugh.
This occurs when you are usually ungrounded. Perhaps you have just cleared a big emotional issue and your body is truly adjusting to your “lighter” state.
Sometimes “comfort food” feels. Use your guidance to know what you need at any given moment.
10. Memories Resurface.
Body memories, suppressed memories, images of past lives and/or parallel lives. We are normally healing and integrating all our “selves”, so expect to have some of these experiences.
Hints and tips:. It is simply best to recall what only what comes to mind, leave the rest alone, don’t analyze every thing to death (because you will be actually stuck in the tape loop of infinite issues to process), and feel your feelings as they come up.
